Cumberland Council is asking people to identify sites which they would like to see either protected or developed for a particular use. It is important for the Council to understand the land which is potentially available so that an assessment can be made to determine the most appropriate locations for development.
The sites can be put forward by anyone (with the landowner’s permission) and for any use. The land submitted must be within the Cumberland Local Plan area, and so applies to only one part of Ireby & Uldale Parish (the other part is within the Lake District National Park and is therefore covered by a separate Local Plan).
More details can be found on Cumberland Council's webpage.
